Elwalid Aboulaakoul
CS and physics student at Hassan I University.
I work on machine learning systems that are easier to evaluate, audit, and trust. My current university research studies reliability failures in computer vision systems for structured scenes, with an emphasis on explicit evaluation protocols, failure taxonomies, and reproducible artifacts.
Before focusing on research, I built production-oriented ML and automation systems in industry: forecasting models and MLOps workflows at Intelcia, and internal automation tools for Euromodial.
I am also building Asayl Labs, focused on grounded intelligence for physical operations: systems designed to be checked, corrected, and guided by the people who use them.
Research Interests
- Evaluation-first computer vision and structured-scene perception.
- Failure analysis, reproducibility, and auditable evaluation in ML systems.
- Retrieval, agentic tooling, and research workflows for large corpora.
Experience
-
Hassan I University

Studying evaluation and reliability questions in computer vision and grid-grounded perception. -
Asayl Labs
- current work
Building intelligence systems for physical operations, where outputs must be grounded in evidence and verified by human operators. -
Intelcia
- software engineering intern, 2024-2025
Built call-volume forecasting models, MLOps pipelines, model-quality gates, and internal data tools. -
Euromodial
- automation and internal tooling
Built workflow automations and software tools for operational processes.
